Frequently Asked Questions

Our members join for a season, make online reservations to use the boats and their only additional cost is the fuel they use. The club owns the boats and pays for all the insurance, maintenance, dockage, storage, and repairs. We provide all required safety equipment except children's life jackets. We also offer water skis and tubes at no additional cost.
Our memberships are based on the number of future reservations you can have in the system at one time. Once you use or cancel a reservation, you can make another to replace it (that's the "rolling" part). There is no limit on the number of times you can use the boats in a season.
A reservation is targeted to be half a day with weekend days splitting at 3:00 PM. Weekdays can split anytime between 2:00 PM and 5:00 PM. That means that 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM and 2:00 PM - 10:00 PM are each only one reservation on weekdays.
Our boats can be used from sunrise to an hour after sunset.
May 15 to September 30 but we usually keep some boats in the water into October if water levels allow.
Our program is designed to let a 4 reservation member get out for a half day (4-6 hours) every weekend or a full day (8-12 hours) every other weekend. Weekday availability is much higher, especially during the day. Boat availability can vary by location. In recent years, our Canandaigua Lake location has seen higher demand than our other locations. Feel free to contact us to discuss your expected use.
Most members get access to all our locations. Members who join after March 1 may have restrictions on some locations for that season.
Boat capacity varies. Most can handle 8 adults.
Sorry, no pets are allowed on our boats.
No. We have a fuel metering system on each boat to the record fuel. We invoice you for the fuel you used at the current pump rates. If you’re out and the boat needs fuel, take it to the gas dock where they will put fuel in and charge the club’s account.
That depends on your age as NY is phasing in a boater education requirement. See NY Boating Education for more information.
No problem. We accept members with no boating experience. Our certified instructors will have you driving the boat in no time.
A fraction of what it costs to own one of these great boats. See our Membership page for more information.
We do not offer monthly payments. Most clubs that do have an exorbitant initiation fee, typically greater than our entire annual membership fee. We keep our prices low to offer members the most flexibility and best value.
You only pay the initiation fee once as long as you keep your membership active year to year.
Sorry, we don't allow memberships to be shared beyond spouses ($200 fee applies). You can, of course, bring anyone you like on the boat with you.
